FUN RIDE

I decided to join this Dorset Fun Ride because more than a dozen of our PCC members had registered. The ride was planned for 20km but due to technical and safety reasons,I managed to ride only 10km.I was disappointed with the choice of route and the length of the ride.Thank God,I had a good company of riders to keep me riding..

Lesson learnt on organised ride:If the ride is boring, take a detour with your buddies and enjoy on your own.

KL Car Free Day-City Ride

This is second time we organised for our PCC members to come and ride in the city of Kuala Lumpur. The first one was on 1st November,2015 and  last weekend on 6th December,2015 was our second time. From the feedback we received the riders were happy and enjoyed themselves during the rides. It is NOT riding alone-we socialise,we pedal,we take photos at interesting and beautiful places along our cycling track/lanes  and we eat together. It all three in one.Just like our morning Nescafe.

From 7am to 8am,we ride along the 7km designated CAR FREE ROADS in the city. After that,on 1st Nov.,2015 we rode to Midvalley via a cycling track along the Klang River and under elevated railway tracks.Yesterday,we went to Tugu Negara to pay respect to our fallen heroes and later we rode to Taman Tasik Perdana. Here,we discovered a few nice locations for taking group photos. The track is also good for cycling but Putrajaya is better.

From here,we rode to KTM Railway Station via Masjid Negara and hit straight to Klang River Grafitti Wall. After taking photos there,we rode up to Ali,Muthu and Ah Hock Restaurant for lunch. On the way back we walked through Petaling Street.

Honestly,I won't ride alone in KL City.It is not safe enough. The motorised KL City traffic are not friendly at all to cyclists.DBKL just need to hire some Dutch city and traffic experts to plan, design and construct separate cycling paths and junctions in Kuala Lumpur.Period.
